Here at WS, I want to empower you to eat healthfully, mindfully, and practically for your busy, hectic lives! This is a supportive and welcoming place where you can find any holistic health topics. You can find healthy recipes, fun nutrition guidance, and natural healing remedies. It also is a place beyond just food that shares eating disorder support, relationship advice, and running/fitness tips. Health is a lifestyle and I want to help you create a healthy, happy life for yourself.
My Mission: to create conversations that will help you boost your performance, life, and overall health through food, natural remedies, and mindset changes.
My Mindset
Wholistically, Sam was created with the idea that our health journeys are all different and unique. I realize that many people struggle with health/nutrition, as it can seem so overwhelming and confusing! Whether you want to knock the habits that aren’t serving you out of your life, you need to mend your relationship with food and exercise, or you are just looking for some athletic performance tips–I want to have your back.

GROWTH
Health is a process. It is a journey. We all don’t have the same path, but whether you don’t know how to read a nutrition label, dabble in the health world and eat a few salads here and there, or are a full-on healthie who just absolutely loves kale and kombucha–we all start somewhere.
I want to focus on you growing as a person. I want you to feel like you’re on the path to living your best life.
I’ll be creating helpful nutrition guides, daily routines, tips on how to overcome body image, and will overall help you to cultivate self-acceptance, self-love, and personal empowerment. Growth doesn’t come overnight, but little changes add up to big ones! Follow along this journey with me to GROW into who you have always wanted to be.
NOURISHMENT
There is a root-cause to everything. You heal from the inside-out.
Nourishing your body with real food, nourishing your mind with helpful and supportive content, and nourishing your soul with healthy relationships is the true ROOT of becoming a happier, you.
In my podcast episodes, as well as my recipes, I hope you’ll find that I truly want to help you focusing on nourishing your mind, body, and soul. They all work together, and if I can help shift your mindset and shift your diet–I have no doubt that you can take control of your health for the better.
Meet The Founder
Hi there, I am so glad to have you here! I’m Sam–a twenty-something runner in college who is a lover of healthy recipes, kombucha, podcasts, traveling, and all-things holistic medicine.
I attend a university located in Ohio, where I am studying Dietetics! My Dietetic Internship will be completed in the year 2021, and I plan to graduate in 2022!
I started WS as a platform people could turn to for guidance. I deal with a wide range of health topics–from grocery shopping, to healthy recipes, to natural remedies. As well as recovery tips, athletic performance hacks, and beyond! There is so much content that I wish to bring you. This is a place to turn to when you are needing a little inspiration, someone to relate to, and some raw/real health advice.
My health journey didn’t start out so ‘healthy’. With participating in sports all my life, I never really thought health was something I had to worry about. Because I was always on the field or on the track, I thought I could get away with eating all the junk food, staying up all hours of the night, watching all the TV when I wanted a ‘break’, and taking all the painkillers to combat sore muscles.
The unhealthier I became, the unhappier I was. When I wanted to become a serious runner, I became overly obsessed with having “perfect” health and fell into a severely restrictive mindset in order to fall into the ‘runner-body’ aesthetic. I followed all the ‘diets’, felt all of the inflammation, and disregarded my body for what it was–neglecting what it needed.
I became so sick and so isolated that I needed some intervention and guidance–thus began the journey to get in tune with my body and mend my relationship with food and exercise! Through my self-discovering, I am continually uprooting a lot of the mindset traps I was falling into and am constantly learning how I can heal naturally by listening to and respecting my body for what it is.
I turned to health blogs and podcasts for inspiration and I began to feel at peace! I let go of the conventional diet methods I thought I needed to hold on to, and I started looking into the holistic medicine realm to get to the root of my healing journey.
You could say it went a little something like this:
Unhealthy teen→ health obsessed→ severely depressed→ getting lost searching for inspiration and answers→ finding my health ‘niche’ behind the scenes–> taking action to create something, and becoming authentically and wholly: me.
I started this platform in order to bring together athletes, foodies, and those wanting to create a better lifestyle for themselves! Join me as we change our health for the better☀
