Okay y’all…okay. I made this recipe (for the 1098948th time) this weekend with my roommate, and I just HAVE to share it with the rest of the world. How selfish would it be to keep it all to myself ?!
I don’t know about you, but I am a banana FIEND. I always have them hanging around at my house. So when the time comes…there’s always a few ripe, spotty bananas just calllllling my name to turn them into a masterpiece. A ripe banana that you seriously consider tossing is PERFECT for a banana bread recipe.
So, now that you have this recipe—pro tip while grocery shopping: buy extra bananas. Even if you don’t think you can go through them all, because now you will 🙂
This healthy paleo banana bread recipe is everything you want in a baked good–it’s sweet, it’s moist, it’s refined-sugar free, and it is full of flavor. I use warm spices like cinnamon and nutmeg that change the game for taking the flavor-profile to the next level. Seriously, no one believes me when I tell them this recipe is “healthy”!!
I’m sure you, your roommates, or your family will enjoy this as much as we do over in my house 🙂
To make this banana bread recipe “healthy”, I’ve opted to swap regular sugar with honey, and butter for coconut oil. Make SURE your bananas are extra ripe* (as the riper the banana, the sweeter it is!) As for the flours, I’ve used the killer combination of almond flour and coconut flour–to give it a light, airy texture.
*if you don’t have any hanging around your house, place 3 medium-sized bananas in the oven at 300F for around 18-22 mins, or until browned!
Alright guys, let’s get into what you’ll need to make this amazing, healthy banana bread recipe and LET’S GET BAKING !
